ALEX BRITTI the new single “Supereroi” (Watch the video)

Music news

The official video clip is online on Youtube Super heroes the new single by Alex Britti.

The video, directed by Francesco Coppola, opens on the trains of the Rome subway where Alex sings Super heroes from the station platform and followed by vivid images of daily life in a high school, a market, a flower kiosk, a park, a bar, interspersed with sequences in which Alex himself with his faithful guitar and together with his band ( Daniele Sambrotta – drums, Davide Sambrotta – keyboards, Matteo Pezzolet – bass, Anna Laura Alvear and Francesca Carbonelli – backing vocals) performs as if in a happening in the metro station regardless of the passers-by who watch and take amused photos.

Alex Britti takes us with him to discover an Underground Rome between Ostiense and Tufello whose faces the director highlights frames After frames with close-ups are those of the real “superheroes” of society, ordinary women and men who work hard and face the challenges and unexpected events that life throws at them every day. The result is a realistic and powerful anthem that helps to enhance the thoughtful and committed lyrics of the new song, all in an extraordinary and catchy combination of notes that range from blues to rap in a purely electronic key.

THE SINGLE

Super heroes talks about sacrifice and tenacity, it is a song dedicated to all the people who try to survive daily with a precarious and low-paid job. Alex here it is aimed at single mothers and fathers struggling with the entanglements of their endless days, at dreamers who always hope for a better future, at all ordinary people who are the true superheroes of society: they call us men we eat clouds / we drive around in traffic we work miracles, they call us saints they call us heroes but who jumps through somersaults who better than us / they call us angels they call us beasts / we work hard we have hidden talents / we hold on we are special, we are like others but we are not all the same…

The song represents an evolution of Alex’s unique style, as he continues to experiment with completely distinctive sounds, mixing multiple musical genres. With his engaging voice and accompanied by his faithful guitar, Alex transmits deep emotions that reach listeners directly.

I imagined many real “superheroes” in 2020 during the covid period, in the two months closed at home I thought not so much about the moment itself but about what the “after” would be like, says Alex Britti “a friend had opened a rehearsal room a few months before , another friend an oven, how would the musicians, actors, technicians, security people have faced the costs of starting up the company, how would they have paid their children’s school fees if they couldn’t work? and in fact many people have been forced to reinvent themselves to get by, improvise in different jobs, do uncommon actions, bring out energy even when you know you don’t have any left, well, I imagined these as real superheroes…”
