After “Peaches”, Jack Black covers “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears

Music news

The actor and singer teamed up with his longtime sidekick, Kyle Glass, to deliver a rock version of Britney Spears’ hit “Baby One More Time.” A new potential hit for the release of “Kung Fu Panda 4”.

Jack Black strikes again. On the occasion of “Kung Fu Panda 4”, the comedy duo he forms with Kyle Glass, but also the real group called Tenacious D, offers an anticipated cover of Britney Spears’ hit “Baby One More Time”. Teased for several days, the rock interpretation of the song, released in 1998, has already recorded millions of views on social networks.

After the success of “Peaches”, the song performed last year by Jack Black for the film “Super Mario Bros”, it seems that the actor, who lends his voice to the hero Po in “Kung Fu Panda”, is heading towards a new classic in the duo’s already extensive repertoire of covers. As a reminder, he and his sidekick proposed, last year, a cover as deep as it was offbeat of the title “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak.

“Britney, if you’re watching, I love you”

For the purposes of “Baby One More Time”, Jack Black and Kyle Glass appear, in the video posted online this Friday, surrounded by the cast of the saga which brings together, among others, James Hong (Mr. San Ping), Randall Duk Kim ( Oogway), “Malcolm” actor Bryan Cranston (Li), but also Dustin Hoffman (Shifu), who makes one of his rare public appearances.

Recently interviewed by the media Entertainment Tonight, Jack Black addressed Britney Spears: “Britney, if you’re watching, I love you.” I love this song “specifying to wait by the telephone for the proposal of a collaboration with the interpreter of “Toxic”. ” I am here! I’m ready when you are”he stressed.

“Kung Fu Panda 4” is expected in theaters on March 27.
