Following the health problems of singer Steven Tyler, the American hard rock band Aerosmith has announced the definitive end of concerts.
After announcing his farewell tour in 2023, Aerosmith embarked on a journey across the United States. Unfortunately, after the third date, the hard rock quintet found themselves forced to postpone the remaining dates due to Steven Tyler's fractured larynx. Initially postponed, while the singer recovered physically, this tour was finally cancelled, following a press release published the night of Friday August 2 to Saturday August 3.
With over 50 years of career under its belt, the group also did not fail to salute its fans. āIt was in 1970 that a spark of inspiration became Aerosmith Ā» they declare in the same press release. āBecause of you, the spark was ignited and has continued to burn for five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and are the reason we made rock history. It has been an honor to have our music be a part of your lives. In every club, on every stadium tour, and in public and private moments, you have made a place for us in the soundtrack of your lives.ā
The career ofAerosmith began in 1973, when the first album was released, which included the standards “Dream On” and “Mama Kin.” Although success was not immediate (the album was released on the same day as a certain Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ), the group manages to make a name for itself and build the success that we know it for. The summit is represented by Get A Gripreleased in 1993, which sold over 20 million copies. It notably includes the hits “Cryin'” and “Livin' On The Edge,” performed at the Peace Out, before its forced cancellation.
