AC/DC back in France

Music news

Australian hard rock superstars AC/DC announce new tour, which includes a French date, marking their eight-year comeback.

The countdown is over. The next concert dates ofAC DC are now known. So find them August 13 at the ParisLongchamp Hippodrome. Places will be available this Friday February 16 from 10 a.m. via the organizer’s website. This is the only French date announced to date. The band will feature Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) on bass, who takes over the role from Cliff Williams after the latter’s retirement announcement.

This tour marks the great return of the giants of Australian hard rock to France since 2016. This last date, which took place at the Stade Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, allowed the public to attend an atypical date, since Axl Rose, singer of Guns N’ Roses, replaced Brian Johnson, who had to withdraw for health reasons.

Returning home since this tour, the British singer recorded a studio album with AC DCtitled Power Up. Released in 2021, it notably includes the titles “Shot in the Dark” and “Realize”. If the group has not yet toured to present this record, they nevertheless played a few extracts from it in 2023, during the Power Trip festival.
