It’s been almost 3 years since Becky Hill will publish her debut album and despite the fact that during all this time she has not stopped singing, releasing collaborations, conquering dance floors… the time has come for a new stage in the career of this British artist. And that is why she has revealed all the details of her new album: Believe me now?.
An album that will be released on May 31 and will include a sound proposal that will be somewhere between dance and pop. One of the queen voices of EDM thanks to her collaborations with Meduza, Galantis, David Guetta…is now ready to conquer the sales charts again.
For this work, she has surrounded herself with an impressive legion of producers who have helped her find that sound she was looking for to change direction but to continue maintaining her daring musical identity. Because as she acknowledged in an interview with NME: “It’s an evolution. You can’t win two BRIT awards and continue advancing at the same pace.”
Beyond the awards, it is clear that Becky Hill is a music worker and that thanks to her undeniable talent she has managed to rub shoulders with the greats of electronic music. Now it’s time for her to shine again alone with songs like Side effects, Never be alone or his collaboration with Chase & Status, Disconnect.
Parisi, Mark Ralph, Toddla T, Maur, Solardo, MJ Cole, Jax Jones or Franky Wah are some of the names involved in the production and who give an idea of where the shots are going to go in this musical adventure: “I wanted an album based on dance production but deep down I’m a pop girl. I wanted to make songs that could top the charts, but seeing me play in clubs like Amnesia or Café Mambo doesn’t make me feel very far from what the rest of the project is about.
In Believe Me Now, Becky Hill addresses that feeling of self-confidence but also loneliness: “My whole experience with rave culture has been this sense of unity. It’s such a beautiful feeling when you go to a rave, because it doesn’t matter what you’re going through. happening, hopefully you can put it all aside for one night and enjoy life surrounded by people who do the same. I would like this album to offer that feeling of togetherness,” he explained to NME.
With her mind set on her live performance, the British artist is collaborating with Studio Moross (world tours of Spice Girls and Kylie Minogue) for it… We cross our fingers to see it very soon in Spain (and not just Ibiza).
