Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain and Jason Isbell, among others, will participate in the “MusiCares Person of the Year” event celebrating Jon Bon Jovi.
Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Jelly Roll and Bon Jovi will all perform at a gala in honor of Jon Bon Jovi next month. The singer will be named MusiCares Person of the Year, an honor bestowed by the Recording Academy’s nonprofit organization that helps musicians in need, at an event in Los Angeles on July 2. FEBRUARY.
Other artists include Brandy Clark, Melissa Etheridge, Goo Goo Dolls, Jason Isbell, Marcus King, the War and Treaty, Damiano David de MĂĄneskin and Lainey Wilson. Comedian Jim Gaffigan will host the evening. Gayle King and Kylie Minogue are also expected to make appearances.

Laura Segura, executive director of MusiCares, said the organization wanted to highlight Bon Jovi’s charitable actions. “ Bon Jovi has also dedicated his life to philanthropic efforts that align with MusiCares’ health and social service mission, forever changing the lives of those in need, she declared. The purpose of the Person of the Year Gala is to raise funds for MusiCares’ vital services throughout the year and to celebrate the philanthropy and impact of music legends. »
The first MusiCares event was held in 1991, when David Crosby was honored. The most recent MusiCares People of the Year are Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson (2023), Joni Mitchell (2022), Aerosmith (2020) and Dolly Parton (2019).
