Listen to ‘Desvanecer’, Microhm’s new EP

Music news

A glimpse into a world of abandoned spaces and hollowed-out structures.

Leslie Garciaalso known as Microhm, is a Mexican producer and DJ who mainly seeks, through her music, to create states of emotional immersion. She addresses this purpose by using a wide range of technical and musical resources, with influences ranging from techno, ambient, noise, IDM, among others.

under the seal Infinite Machine and with seven tracks, the EP Dispel is his most recent work, immersing us in a world of abandoned spaces and empty structures that transmit a deep feeling of absence.

Microhm envelops us in a musical journey through compositions such as “Nostalgia“, where he fuses atmospheric sounds with percussion that slowly unfolds and retracts in flashes that manage to capture the listener and take him through sequences in a constant swing of sensations.

Songs like “Complicit Silence” and “The Dispossession” explore darker tones, with energetic rhythms and waves of noise that generate disturbing atmospheres.

In Dispel there is also room for softness in “Premonitory Dream“. With minimal chords and organ tones, Microhm It immerses us through simplicity to enter a sacred space, inviting us to recognize and enjoy the void, as if we were about to participate in a ritual.

Over the course of just over half an hour, Leslie Garcia gives us glimpses of a predestined future with each track. It is mesmerizing and deeply introspective, offering a brave look at exploring the limits with crossovers between noise and ambient.

Altogether, the album deftly balances intensity with delicacy and explores a variety of sonic nuances that captivate while enveloping the listener in an introspective and enriching musical experience.

You can now listen Dispel on all digital platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer
