Liam Gallagher, ex-Oasis, and John Squire, ex-The Stone Roses, announce the release of a collaborative album for the month of March.
Two essential figures of the Britpop scene, Liam Gallagher and John Squire, are evolving their collaboration. After meeting on stage in Knebworth (United Kingdom) in 2022 to perform the classic âChampagne Supernovaâ, they announce a joint album. The former singer of Oasis and the former guitarist of The Stone Roses took the opportunity to unveil a new extract entitled âMars To Liverpoolâ. Drawing its inspiration from 60s rock and psychedelia to carry its melodic line imbued with melancholy, it is available via the player below:
This title comes following âJust Another Rainbowâ, unveiled at the beginning of January. They are both included in the tracklist of the joint album by the two Britpop figures, which will be released on March 1st. âI canât wait for people to discover the albumâ explains Liam Gallagher. âI think anyone who loves The Stone Roses and Oasis and that genre of music will love it. There is a spiritual and crucial side. »
The discovery of this album will be followed by a tour, which will include a French date. See you at Salle Pleyel (Paris) on April 2. Places will be available from this Friday, February 2 via the organizer’s website.
