Music news

Slipknot singer Corey Taylor said in a video that he needed time to recover from depression.

Corey Taylor has spoken out about his depression that led him to cancel his North American tour in a new video addressed to his fans.

After the cancellation, Taylor planned a few shows in Asia in the spring, which sparked criticism from fans who questioned why the North American tour was canceled.

“ I decided to make this video in response to the many comments sent to me after I announced that I would continue my tour in Southeast Asiaexplained the singer. This was originally going to be mentioned in the statement I made about my mental health issue. Over the last year I have experienced a complete and utter breakdown in my boundaries, my sanity, my ego, my rights, everything else, culminating in a very, very real, very near relapse. of… I don’t recognize myself. So, again, I wanted to address this topic and tell people that I needed time to reset, to start working on my heart and my mind and get back on my feet. The reason I’m keeping the Southeast Asia tour going is because it’s literally four shows, it’s literally a week. I’ll see how I get on and take things day by day. I strive to take care of myself, get the help I need, and surround myself with family. »
