The BRIT Awards 2024 announced the nominees of this edition, from classics like The Rolling Stones to the new generation of artists like Arlo Parks and Fred Again… In the most important category of the night, album of the year, a fan favorite contends: Blur with your album The Ballad Of Darren.
Entertainer of the Year nominees include Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Fred Again… and Jessie Ware who was also nominated for Mercury Prize. In song of the year we find Lewis Capaldi, PinkPantheress, RAYE, Central Cee and Dua Lipa, with your success “Dance The Night Away” of the movie Barbie.
In other categories, some of the public’s favorites are nominated, such as Blur and Jungle for year group, or PinkPantheress and Yussef Dayes, for best new artist. Romy, member of The xx, part of the poster Ax Ceremony, is nominated for best dance act. To recognize best rock or alternative act, the nominees are Blur, Bring Me The Horizon, Young Fathers and Yussef Dayes.
In terms of international presence, the nominees for best international artist include Caroline Polachek, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. While the best international group competes Blink-182, boygenius, Foo Fighters and Paramore.
