Justice returns in force with two tracks from their new album “Hyperdrama”

Music news

Less than a month after announcing their return, Justice unveils “One Night/All Night” and “Generator”. First two tracks from their anticipated new album “Hyperdrama”.

The Parisian electro duo is making their big comeback. Nearly eight years after the release of “Woman”, their latest studio album to date, Justice presents two singles taken from “Hyperdrama”, their new opus expected on April 26.

Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay have just unveiled “One Night/All Night”, in collaboration with the Australian group led by Kevin Parker, Tame Impala, as well as the title “Generator”. Enough to reassure us about the intentions of the duo who have lost none of their bite. “One Night/All Night”, first single from “Hyperdrama”, combines “gabber, this hardcore techno which was the heyday of the 90s in the Netherlands and disco from the seventies, hedonistic and melancholic”, specifies the group in a press release. The association works and should delight fans. Note that “One Night/All Night” was one of the first demos composed for the album and should set the tone for this fourth album.

The other extract “Generator” should not disappoint purists either with its compressed sounds furiously reminiscent of titles like “Genesis” or “Phantom” from the emblematic “Cross” released in 2007. Note the excellent progression of the title which finds an ultra effective bass line tinged with strings offering a cinematic color to this piece. A title calibrated for live performances and which will not fail to be part of the group’s setlist when they come to the Coachella festival, on April 12 and 19.

Highly anticipated, the duo will perform in the coming months, as part of the famous Californian festival on the one hand, but also at Primavera Sound, on May 30, in Barcelona, at the We Love Green festival, on June 1, as well as on the of Normandy at the Beauregard festival (July 4), at the Main Square in Arras, on July 6, as well as at Déferlantes (July 11), at Musilac (July 13), at the Terres du Son festival in Tours, on July 14 and at Cabaret Vert (August 17), in Charleville-Mézières.
