Marco Mengoni shares the world of his trilogy Materia: Terra, Pelle e Prisma and expands its horizons through the imagination of the kids at Holden school who publish a book about it.
The songs of Materia have become the starting point of a new path… and they have returned to me in the form of prose, poetry, theatrical texts, without any limit to the imagination of the students who have chosen to participate in this madness of ours: only the joy of knowing that the songs would open new paths, that other stories would be born from the stories. A vicious virtuous circle that has come to be this book today.”
“Matter, words” was born from the collaboration between Marco Mengoni and the Holden school in Turin. After listening to the artist’s three albums (Terra, Pelle and Prisma), the students produced stories, poems and reflections based on the suggestions of the pieces and the emotions they felt listening to them.
Each story is linked to a particular song, which can be listened to before, after or during reading, so that the singer’s voice accompanies all the stories, becoming a very precious common thread.
