Kendrick Lamar wrote a song for Chanel

The soundtrack of a short film announcing the Chanel Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture fashion show, which will be held tomorrow in Paris, is by Kendrick Lamar.

The short film is called The Button and sees the collaboration between Chanel, the rapper and Dave Free’s pgLang. It stars actresses Margaret Qualley and Anna Mouglalis alongside top model Naomi Campbell. Free wrote and directed the three-minute black-and-white short, while Lamar wrote the score for The Button, which boasts a snippet of a previously unreleased track.

Kendrick Lamar thus returns with new music, since he hasn’t released anything since Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers in 2022, although in the meantime he has collaborated with Baby Keem in “The Hillbillies”, with BeyoncĂ© in the remix of “America Has a Problem” and with Taylor Swift in Bad Blood.
