Music news

The surreal video accompanies the explosive song that anticipates his album, TANGK.

Amid growing anticipation for their next album, IDLES has revealed his new single, “Gift Horse”marking the way towards the launch of TANGK next February 16th via Partisan Records. This song follows in the footsteps of the previous ones “Dancer” and “Grace”.

The visual accompaniment to the single is as intriguing as the song itself, with a surreal video that finds the connection between almost fantastical characters and the normality of everyday life. From a cashier to the guitarist Mark Bowen facing a mechanical bull, the creativity complements the song’s powerful narrative.

This new launch has also led to IDLES to expand their already busy touring schedule, with three intimate off-stage shows in London and Bristol added to the itinerary. In addition, his return to Mexico has been confirmed in October 2024, with presentations in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City.

With TANGK intended to consolidate the success achieved with his previous album “CRAWLER”which earned them two Grammy nominations, IDLES continues his musical rise.

“Gift Horse” not only marks another milestone for IDLES, but also promises an album that redefines the boundaries of his musical identity. With their characteristic vigor and a more introspective narrative, the band proves that they are ready to deliver another masterpiece that will undoubtedly resonate on the global music scene.
