New Order launches a special edition t-shirt for Blue Monday

Music news

A limited edition design of the great song “Blue Monday.”

Due to its great success last year Peter Savillethe label’s graphic designer Factory Recordshas launched a second version of t-shirts on Blue Monday in support of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)a suicide prevention charity.

Blue Monday is often associated with the most depressing day of the year due to factors such as the winter blues and lack of funds after the festive period. Therefore, this time the t-shirt features the opening lyrics, “How does it feel?” from the song of New Order, “Blue Monday”.

It shows the iconic color code that is the same one that appears on the 1983 12-inch version of the song, along with CALM 2024. So the addition of the lyrics to the t-shirt is designed to help open conversations about mental health and suicide.

It should be noted that 100% of the proceeds from the sale go to the organization to save lives and support anyone who has mental health problems. Well, as mentioned New Order it’s a statement:

Starting a conversation with someone could be the most important conversation that person has ever had. It could change your life. So with “How does it feel?”we feel like ambassadors of CALM; We had the perfect lyrics and message to spread in the 2024 edition…”

“Blue Monday” has transcended generations and without a doubt the track and meaning behind it aligns perfectly with the work of CALM, thus giving greater visibility to the fact that mental health affects us all. Get it here!
