The Rolling Stones announce the release of a new album: The Rolling Stones Live At The Wilternwhich captures the Stones treating their fans to hits and rarities.
Between 2002 and 2003, the Rolling Stones went on an extensive tour, Licks World Tour, on the occasion of the band’s 40th anniversary. A great world tour with which the group supported their Forty Licksthe double compilation album that covered, at that time, his forty years of career.
A tour with which the Rollings made 117 shows and raised more than 300 million dollars. It was one of the biggest box office hits of those years.
Now, Live At The Wilternwhich will see the light next March 8 and which will be available in various physical and digital audio and video formats (DVD + 2CD, Blu-Ray + 2CD, 2CD, 3LP), will present the concert that the band offered at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeleshe November 22, 2002.

A fairly intimate show since the theater has a capacity of 2000 people. Fans in attendance knew they were in for something special when gems like Stray Cat Blues, No Expectations and Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (with the co-writer of this 1964 soul classic, Solomon Burke) shook the room.
Over 80 songs from all eras of the band’s unique glorious history were performed on this tour. Mick jagger He played guitar, harmonica and keyboards in several concerts. Keith Richards, stellar on guitar and vocals, provided visual and musical highlights. To the right of the stage, the guitar work of Ron Wood it intertwines seamlessly with Richards’ playing. the drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, was the heart and soul that propelled the band forward. The rest of the musicians, the bassist Darryl Jonesthe keyboard Chuck Leavellthe saxophonist Bobby Keys and the choirs of Lisa Fischer, Bernard Fowler and Blonde Chaplinthey added immeasurable flourishes.
With Tom Petty, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Depp, Stephen Stills and Eddie Murphy in the audience, the Rolling Stones proceeded to raise the roof to deliver arguably one of their best shows, of which Ron Wood stated: “We couldn’t really do a full tour doing predictable shows”while Mick Jagger added: “One of the reasons for doing what we are doing is to make it interesting for the audience and the band. “I have to think a lot more about song lists than ever.”.
For his part, Keith Richards declared: “Sometimes on the road the weather is bad and half the band is down about something, but apart from those obvious sad days, there is an incredible freshness about these guys”.
