Although he is only 34 years old, Tainy He has been producing top names for more than a decade and carving out a niche for himself in the world of reggaeton. In all these years, the artist has dedicated himself to each project of others as if it were his own, so much so that when his debut album finally arrived, the Puerto Rican producer He had a lot of friends. Thus, in the summer of 2023, Tainy released his innovative debut album DATAan album made up of 19 memorable collaborations with artists of the caliber of Wisin & Yandel, ArcĂĄngel, Jhayco, Young Miko, Mora, Daddy Yankee, Feid, Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro, Julieta Venegas, Ălvaro DĂaz and even the Spanish artist Judeline.
But it was on Epiphany Eve, last January 5, when Tainy took this album live in an amazing way. The day the GRAMMY winner was crowned with DATA Loading, a very special show and a unique 360° audiovisual experience produced by NEON16 One-Six creative duo Lex Borrero and Ivanni Rodriguez.
More than 16,000 people vibrated with this show in the prestigious Coliseum of Puerto Rico, one of the most important and largest plazas in its land. This feat made him the first producer to sell out tickets at the nicknamed ‘Choliseo’.
During this concert, the artist gave life to SENA, the anime character that stars in his album DATA. This creature comes to life on stage and symbolizes an emotional journey. In the artist’s own words: “Bringing SENA to life was a central concept of tonight’s show. It’s about the fusion of music, emotion and storytelling,” Tainy commented in a press release.
A decade of reggaeton, live
The show DATA Loading has been produced in collaboration with NEON16 and Move Concerts, a multi-sensory show transcends the limits of a regular concert. Tainy featured figures such as Bad Bunny, Luny Tunes, Nely, Arcangel and so on to more than 15 artists who helped him shape more than 80 songs live in a show of almost three hours. “We have created a show that is more than music; it is a narrative journey with a profound cultural impact that spans a decade of ReggaetĂłn music” said Lex Borrero. For his part, Pablo Batista of NEON16 contributed: “This is a historic moment for Puerto Rican music culture. This is the culmination of reggaetĂłn to date, “This show marks a before and after.”
The concert was a visual spectacle, with Tainy performing inside a series of visually curated transparent cubes that were transformed into his studio, providing a personal insight into his creative process. The use of more than 600 light variations, state-of-the-art audio systems and giant screens created an atmosphere like no other, taking the audience on a rollercoaster ride through Tainy’s extensive catalogue.
It featured a powerful introduction by Puerto Rican poet, JosĂ© RaĂșl “Gallego” and then the show began with Tainy classics such as The Telephone, Pam Pam or Let him fall to the weight. Bringing the pioneers of the genre Monday Tunes and Nely to interpret Give it a try, Contact and Call to See You. Followed by Reggaeton royalty Archangel to light up the Colosseum with hits like So you have a good time. With a crowd already mesmerized, Jhayco took the stage and sang How it feels and GHOST AVC of “DATA”, among others.
Rauw Alejandro performed his global success party and Alvaro Diaz joined Tainy on stage to perform fan favorites PARANORMAL and Llori Pari. Bad Bunny He closed the show by unleashing the madness through his iconic hits like La Santa, No Me Quiero Casar, and Callaita.
