When we say that Argentine music is conquering the world, we mean it literally. In recent years, a whole stream of musical stars has emerged from the Argentine urban scene. One of them is, without a doubt, Maria Becerra. The young woman, who also belongs to the Los del Espacio club, has been conquering the charts around the world for years with great songs like Automatic, what else then? u I hope.

With two albums behind him, The Girl from Argentina and Animal, María is one of the biggest stars in Spanish music today. Thus, We are not surprised that the singer has been one of those chosen to say goodbye to the year in one of the most emblematic places in the world: Times Square in New York.

On the night of December 31, María was singing in the city that never sleeps with other great stars such as Sabrina Carpenter, Meghan Thee Station or Flo Rida. In this way, María became the only star who sings in Spanish at the celebration. Quite a feat! And it seems that the young Argentine could focus 2024 on establishing herself as one of the most listened to Hispanic singers in the United States.

María Becerra’s beautiful message

For the occasion, María Becerra sang one of her biggest hits of 2023: Corazón Vacío. She did it well covered in a sporty look topped by a shiny black puffer jacket, a fur hat and high-waisted black jeans.

María recognizes that getting on stage in one of the most emblematic squares in the world has been a dream: We welcomed 2024 singing in Times Square. Grateful with life for everything I have to experience, a dream come true. I am happy to be here today representing Argentina. I love them”.

In addition, the artist has taken stock of what her 2023 has been like: a year full of surprises. “We raised our fears and I had the pleasure of collaborating with incredible artists. But, above all, I was able to meet many of you who accompany me from different parts of the country and the world and fill my soul with happiness,” writes the young woman.
