Sebastián Yatra and Latin Grammy help you study at Berklee College

Sebastian Yatra has become one of the biggest references in Latin music in 2023. With almost 25 million monthly listeners on digital platforms, three albums on the market, singles with millions and millions of views and enviable collaborations, the Colombian singer has become hard earned public recognition.

One of his latest feats has been to present in Seville, together with Danna Paola, Paz Vega and Roselyn Sanchez the live gala of the Latin Grammy Awards 2023where he also acted and made reference to the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, a charity created by the Latin Recording Academy which seeks to “increase international interest and appreciation of the significant contributions of Latin music and its creators” and to which Sebastian Yatra has recently been added.

The singer of Red high heels together with Foundation They announced a couple of weeks ago the sponsorship of Medellín in their Prodigy Scholarship that allows you to obtain a degree in one of the most prestigious music schools in the world in autumn 2024. Through a joint publication on Instagram, yatra and the Latin Recording Academy have revealed the Sebastian Yatra Scholarship.

This grant is worth up to $200,000 and the chosen student could earn a bachelor’s degree in Berklee College of Music in Boston. Besides, the Foundation It has another 43 scholarships available in 2024 for music students who are between 17 and 25 years old and the registration period opened on December 14 and will be available until April 10, 2024. In addition to meeting the age requirements, The rest of the conditions to apply are two audition videos, two letters of recommendation, two essays and an acceptance letter from an accredited university.

In the social media post, Sebastian Yatra recognizes that joining “the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation for its annual Prodigy Scholarship is beautiful because I am part of something I would have wanted as a child. One of my big dreams was to study music at Berklee and although my career took a different path for which I am super grateful, I would have loved to have that kind of preparation and knowledge. I hope that the person who has this opportunity takes advantage of the scholarship and enjoys it to the fullest. I will be on the lookout for applicants who share a lot of heart and sincerity in their art.”
