The Swedish artist takes advantage of the release of this folk rock track full of feeling and emotion to announce his next studio album. Entitled Before the Sun, it will be released on March 1, 2024. It was recorded in the wake of Twilightsan album which attracted the favor of the editorial staff when it was released in 2022.

“With everything I have gone through in my life, I have learned that a gray area always hides a glimmer of hope” explains Jesper Lindell about Twilights in an interview with the editorial staff. “I spent almost half of the pandemic on dialysis, living a real waking nightmare. However, this is also the period when I wrote and recorded Twilights, which symbolizes everything I have aspired to since I began my career. It is this paradoxical situation that inspired the direction of this new record. It evokes this idea of twilight, this contrast between the darkness and the clarity of life.”

In Before the Sun, the musician still professes his love of the Band, the group that gave birth to Americana. Recorded in Jesper’s studio, just outside Ludvika, Dalarna County, with his touring band and, as a guest, rising Americana/country star, American singer Kassi Valazza.
