The path of cumbia continues to change, from its origins in Colombia to the present day it evolves, Cumbia We are It portrays the most representative figures of the genre by 27 authors. Do not miss it!

The book coordinated by Enrique Blanc and Humphrey Inzillo, in collaboration with the Network of Music Journalists of Ibero-America, rediscovers cumbia as a musical genre that has become culture. Through all its forms, the different articles show an evolutionary journey of cumbia.

With representatives as varied as Celso Piña either The blue Angels, the multiplicity of cumbia is studied from its stories, characters and movements. The book hopes that new generations will become interested in this culture, that it will be renewed and continue transforming into the future.

Published by the Editorial of the University of Guadalajara, Cumbia We are is a tribute to cumbia, as a language that unifies Latin America and expands its history beyond its traditional origins, taking us towards its fusions with African, indigenous and Spanish sounds, to the mixes we know today.
