LAURA PAUSINI starts her World Tour from Rimini (Info, Schedule and Tickets)

Laura Pausini returns live five years after her last world tour, with the premiere, yesterday evening 8 December from the Rimini Stadium, of her “LAURA PAUSINI WORLD TOUR 2023/2024”.

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for 5 years. – comments Laura Pausini – I prepared and studied a lot. Piece by piece I had a clear picture of how I wanted to design my return. This is my thirtieth anniversary year and it is the year in which I return with new music, contained in my album “Anime Parallele” (READ THE REVIEW), it’s the year I put myself to the test again.

I did it, in all the ways I was able to challenge myself, musically, mentally, emotionally, physically even. I started from the crazy idea of ​​a marathon in a 24-hour flight, three performances in three cities around the world, in three iconic theatres, like the one where I won the Sanremo Festival in February 1993.

Almost a provocation, it seemed impossible, but I managed it. I widened the circle by thinking about a preview of the tour in the historic squares of Venice and Seville, cities where I had never played before.

And now finally the whole design takes shape in the sports halls, and this show which had already taken root in the theatres, has grown to its final development which I will finally present to the world. None of this would have been possible without a figure like that of Luca Tommassini at my side, co-director who with me created a show in 3 acts, built starting from the music of my 30 years, and following a conceptual line that plays with the present, future and past.

All the artists I involved (Luca Tommassini, Fabio Novembre, Paolo Carta, Francesco De Cave and Susanna Ausoni) helped me in this ambitious and unique project, which for me as always had the objective of uniting all possible forces to create something that would give back to my audience all the support that made me who I am. I feel like I belong to my audience, in Italy as in the other countries that have welcomed me since 1993 and this year more than ever the tour that begins is made to celebrate together and to thank them, in the way I have loved doing it for 30 years , singing.”

THE ARTISTIC DIRECTION

The partnership of Laura and Luca Tommassini in the artistic direction continues, born already in Laura’s last tour in Italian stadiums, and consolidated during the World Tour Preview in Venice in Piazza San Marco and Seville in Plaza de España, to bring the show to an extraordinarily competitive level on the international scene.

A tour that also winks at the most recent techniques in the world of artificial intelligence, with 3D elements and ad hoc graphics that allow an interpretation of Laura as a heroine running inside a structure, the official logo of the thirty-year anniversary , which gradually comes to life by making up many small frames.

This is a show sewn by hand, centimeter by centimeter: from the scenography to the costumes, from the graphics to the choreography. It is a staged story that tells the story of the woman, the artist with her 30 years of success and above all celebrates the Artist’s desire and dream of a future.

It is definitely a contemporary show where every graphic and every video has been specially shot and adapted to every type of audience.

It is a great challenge for both Laura and me: in every country we arrive in, we have some parts translated so that every person in every part of the world can understand what the message is that Laura wants to convey, either with words or with a video. Then there is an incredible dance troupe and choreographies designed specifically for each song and there are medleys that will make the audience dance like never before.”

ON STAGE

Alongside Laura on stage, a band of 7 musicians and 4 choristers, with the musical direction of Paolo Carta, who covers this role for the seventh time in a world tour of the Artist.

As for the Preview World Tour, this time too the stage bears the prestigious signature of Fabio Novembre and his Studio. The styling was curated by Susanna Ausoni who, together with the Artist, chose to involve Valentino, Pucci, Swarovski, Alessandro Vigilante and Amen. The direction was to work on color and brightness which are the underlying theme of the show. Francesco De Cave lights the stage, developed on two levels, and the arrow-shaped catwalk with rhythm and colors that well describe the journey that each block of the show offers to the public.

The lighting project for the stage that will accompany Laura on this new tour is designed trying to make the most of the geometries that the scenography creates. The research into new lighting projectors, used for the first time on this tour, have given and will give a great contribution to the creation of the individual scenes. The light designs are varied, from colors to strobe positions. There will be an effect for each song that will give life to this great show that will go around the world.”

To emphasize the three blocks of the show also the creativity of Amina Lombroni who took care of the image of the bands, choirs and dancers, the same care also used for the contents that follow one another on the screens: graphic features created by Eddy Angelelli and his team they color the hourglass that dominates the main stage.

It was a very challenging but extremely rewarding experience to be able to participate in the creation of these contributions alongside Luca and Laura. It all started with a series of shots that immerse Laura in a series of very surreal virtual environments, retracing her songs and trying to tell her life and her music.”

THE LADDER

Block I: lights, special effects and an iconic scenography catapult us from the first notes into another dimension, where the color pink in all its shades dominates. The same pink that finds its maximum expression in the sequined coat enriched by hundreds of hand-embroidered crystal chandeliers that cascade down by Alessandro Vigilante.

We start with THE FIRST STEP ON THE MOON: the atmosphere immediately becomes enveloping and romantic when, in a world enclosed by a giant tulle cylinder illuminated by projectors and lasers, DURARE begins: the Artist here literally flies into a starry night thanks to the ribbon lift present on stage. We continue with A GOOD START and the first of the four medleys, the rock one, composed of: EVERY TIME (written by Tommaso Paradiso) and three hits from the repertoire, FRASI A MALTÀ, I CANTO and UN EMERGENZA D’AMORE. A medley of a more personal nature follows, in which Laura, with a piano/vocal performance, opens the doors of her most intimate sphere and gives the public CELESTE (written before the birth of her daughter Paola and dedicated to herself and to women who desire a son), IL OUR DAILY LOVE and DAVANTI A NOI, a song written as a promise for his marriage. Following, STAY LISTENING, PARALLEL ANIME (song that contains the idea behind the concept album of the same name) and the historic TRA TE E IL MARE and AS IF IT HAD NEVER BEEN LOVE. The first block ends with PRIMAVERA IN ANTICIPO, a hit that has always been loved by the public, which involves all the artists present on stage together with the dancers in a riot of colours, also made possible by clothes designed and tailor-made just for this tour.

Block II: Laura, in a dress by Amen, embellished with silver-coloured fringes, returns to the scene sitting on the iconic NEMO armchair and it is the turn of SCATOLA (soundtrack of the Amazon Original film “Laura Pausini – Pleasure to meet you”) followed by AND I WILL RETURN TO YOU. Then it’s the turn of the 2000 Medley with LIMPIDO, SURRENDER, CON LA MUSICA ALLA RADIO and then the Romantic Medley which opens with a first surprise song, different for each date of the tour, followed by NON È DETTO, LATO DESTRO DEL CUORE, I NEVER STOPPED and IN THE ABSENCE OF YOU, to the tune of which a solo dancer performs an unreleased Ravel Bolero. Then it’s the turn of WELCOME, SIMILI (dedicated to the beauty of diversity and against gender divisions) and LE COSE CHE VIVI. After some food for thought, dedicated to the battle against violence against women, an issue for which Laura has been fighting for years, felt today like never before, it is the turn of IO SÌ (SEEN), soundtrack of the film “Life ahead ” and with which Laura won a Golden Globe and received an Oscar nomination. Here the stage is tinged with red, as is the custom made dress created for Laura by Valentino, with a touching choreography that ends symbolically with the universal gesture to ask for help against violence against women. Followed by VIVIMI and SORELLA TERRA (presented for the first time in the 2009 World Tour when, in unsuspecting times, Laura tried to draw attention to climate change). The second block comes to an end on the notes of ZERO, the last single taken from ANIME PARALLELE, enriched by geysers and special effects. An explosion of colors also on the dress worn by the artist and signed by Pucci.

Block III: characterized by black and white colors, also present in the Valentino outfit, colors that recall the pedestrian crossings, the main theme of the new album and key visual of the tour, begins with INSTEME NO and continues with two main columns, INCELLABILE, STRANI AMORI, to then end with the song that started it all: LA SOLITUDE which Laura concludes by exiting the lift while watching a celebratory video on the screen with the highlights of her thirty-year career and a tribute from the excellent artists with whom she has collaborated over the years .

THE FIRST STEP ON THE MOON is the song chosen by Laura for the encore, which sees her return as per tradition in a bathrobe embellished with Swarovski fringes, preceded by a message on the screens that already arises from the Live Preview in the Squares, returns as a description of the stories from the album ANIME PARALLELE and evolves in this World Tour: “I HAVE PASSED TO BE PRESENT IN YOUR FUTURE”.

Closing the show was the inevitable historic mantra, “Make love tonight”, in a frame of lasers and confetti.
