Tijuana residents are back with new music.
Through social networks, the group revealed to us that they are ready to pick up where they left off and will be releasing new music soon. That’s why this time they surprised us with “Respond To That”a song inspired by nineties alternative rock, more specifically shoegaze and slowcore.
This track, simple but very direct, talks about the confusion we can experience on a daily basis, about never knowing how to react to things, but hoping that eventually everything will be okay.
The structure of the song is simple, and is inspired by another influence—that of the Pixies—particularly in how it increases in intensity in the chorus and decreases in the verses,” says Policias y Ladrones in a press release.
This song takes us through melancholic and cathartic moments for 3 minutes, but it is not tedious, but rather helps us self-reflect on our difficult moments, while giving us support to cope with the things that sometimes outweigh us.
Give them a chance Cops and robbers and let yourself be captivated by the rhythms and lyrics that characterize them, run and listen “Respond To That” on your favorite digital platform.
