Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane reunite for Christmas

Music news

Good news for Fifth Harmonny fans! Two of the members of the group have starred in their own Christmas reunion. The best of all? It has not only been in the form of a talk, but also in a musical way. And the two artists are going to get together to sing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. This Friday, December 1, the two girls are going to release this cover. These are Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane.

“I can’t believe it’s been five years,” Ally Brooke begins. “She’s crazy, right?”, Dinah answers. And since they released their last album with Fifth Harmony, Already as a quartet after the departure of Camila Cabello, the girls had not sung together again.

Now, like a Christmas miracle, these two members come together in a Christmas carol. It is by no means the first time that the two artists sing a Christmas song. In 2014 with his group they performed two songs on the pop album I’ll Be Home For Christmas. They released the classic All I Want For Christmas by the great Mariah Carey and a song in Spanish: Silent Night.

Have Yourself a Merry Christmas: the song that brought them together

Have Yourself a Merry Christmas is the song that brought Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane together again. It is one of the most popular Christmas carols sung in English. Some artists such as Sam Smith, Ella Fitzgerals, Jesse Joy or Frank Sinatra have already performed it.

The song was written in 1943 by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane for Judy Garland. The song premiered in the musical film Meet Me in St. Louis in 1944. Since that moment, many have covered the song. Now it’s Dinah and Ally’s turn. Will they touch our hearts with this Christmas carol?
