Bleachers announce new album

Music news

The next album from Jack Antonoff’s group, simply titled ” Bleachers », will be released on March 8.

Jack Antonoff’s imaginary world is taking shape as Bleachers prepares to release its self-titled fourth studio album on March 8. The announcement of the album was accompanied by the arrival of the second single, “ Alma mater » on which Lana Del Rey is invited to sing.

The song places Antonoff at its center as the instruments circle around him.

Alma mater » follows the release of « Modern Girl », the first official release from Bleachers since their album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night (2021). The upcoming album, Bleachersmarks the band’s first original release with their new label Dirty Hit (which has produced The 1975, Rina Sawayama, Pale Waves and many others) following the release of their album Live at Radio City in August.

In a statement, the album was described as “ Antonoff’s very “New Jersey” take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, his position in culture, and the things he cares about. Sonically, it’s sad, it’s happy, it’s music for driving on the highway, for crying, and for dancing at weddings. There is something reassuring, tactile and concrete about this feeling: existing in crazy times but remembering what matters. »

Prior to the album’s release, Bleachers will embark on a short four-date UK tour. In March, they will stop in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
