Royal Blood returns to Paris

Music news

The British duo Royal Blood announces their return to France with a date planned at the Olympia on June 22, 2024.

Not content with being present at the next edition of Hellfest, the power duo Royal Blood announces a date at the Olympia (Paris), scheduled for June 22, 2024. See you this Monday, November 20 at 10 a.m. on the venue’s website for tickets to go on sale.

Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher will take the opportunity to present Back to the Water Below, their new studio album. We find in particular the titles “Shiner In The Dark” and “Mountains At Midnight”. Arriving after a Typhoons which had divided by its artistic choices, this disc presents music that is more raw and more focused on the performance of the duo.

However, the bassist and singer does not deny his previous record: “ There was no desire on our part to ‘restart’ or update” he explains in an interview with the editorial staff. “I remain very proud of Typhoons, which corresponded to a particular moment in our journey and beyond, because it was born during this strange period of confinement where we did not know when and if we could reconnect with the reason for existence of Royal Blood , namely getting on a stage and having a blast. What’s more, the Typhoons songs that have appeared on our setlists since fit very well, including in the way they are perceived and accepted by the public. They don’t look ‘aliens’ compared to the others (Laughs)! »

It now remains to be seen what proportion will take Typhoons in the setlist of the group’s next visits to France. 2024 will also mark the 10th anniversary of the release of Royal Blood. The group has not yet specified whether it wishes to celebrate the event.
