Eugenio Sournia works within feelings, between pain and love, his is a continuous poetic introspection in search of himself.
Eugenio Sournia, singer-songwriter from Livorno who made his debut in the world of music with the band Siberia releasing three albums with them, he now presents his first solo project, an EP entitled “EUGENIO SOURNIA” produced by Emma Nolde. This choice is the result of Eugenio’s desire to rediscover a sort of lost innocence in her.
A very talented author, Eugenio has always loved writing since he was a child, and initially did so through poetry and then, as he grew up, moved on to the song form, realizing how it was easier to do it from behind a microphone rather than publishing collections. A talent that he feels he has in his blood (his name is Eugenio because his mother wanted an emulator of Montale) and a passion cultivated over the years regardless of his university studies, studying authors such as John Keats and Ungaretti.
His evocative, poetic and profound writing, which recalls the great classics of the Italian tradition and which is found in the six songs that make up this new chapter of his recording journey born from the need to tell the relationship with the pain that requires, according to Eugenio , to recover its centrality in music and art. The songs are particularly influenced by the relationship with mental health problems and religious experience, but there is no shortage of excursions towards love themes or those more oriented towards social criticism.
