On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its appearance, the album known as Red (1962-1966) and Blue (1967-1970) the Beatleswhich for generations have served as a gateway to the music of the Liverpool quartet, have been reissued.
Since their debut in 1973, these compilations have led countless listeners of all ages and from all over the world to become lifelong Beatles fans. Now, both collections have been expanded, all songs have been mixed in True Stereo and Dolby Atmos.
Some releases that arrive after the revelation, just a few days ago, of Now And Thenthe last song by The Beatles that artificial intelligence made possible by recovering the voice of the late John Lennon from a demo that he recorded before he died.
Published a week ago to excellent reviews and unprecedented commercial success, it was accompanied by an emotional video directed by Peter Jackson. The song has exceeded all possible sales and streaming expectations. In fact, last Friday, this latest single made history by placing itself as number one on the official UK chart60 years after registering the first.
These new 2023 collections, which start with their first single Love Me Do and they finish with the last one, Now And Then, 21 songs have been added that did not appear in the originaltwelve on the album Rojo and nine on Azul (the single is included here Now and Then). A total of 75 songs that, as we have already mentioned, have been remixed in stereo and/or Dolby Atmos by Giles Martin and Sam Okell at Abbey Road studios. Additionally, both albums include new commentary written by journalist and writer John Harris.
Among the songs that from now on are incorporated into the repertoire of this Beatles selection and that did not previously appear are I Saw Her Standing There, This Boy, Roll Over Beethoven, You Can’t Do That, taxman either If I Needed Someonein the Red, and Within You Without You, Dear Prudence, hey bulldog, Oh! Darling, I Want You (She’s So Heavy) either I Minein the blue.
