MARGHERITA VICARIO “Magia” is the new piece of the SHOWTIME project

Music news

Magic is the new piece of Margherita Vicario’s SHOWTIME project consisting of a podcast and new music.

The theme addressed in the new single (out tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November) has proven to be terribly timely. Of all the songs on SHOWTIME it is perhaps the most intense – written by the singer-songwriter and Andrea Bonomo, composed by Dade and Edwyn Roberts, produced by Dade – and talks about war from the point of view of women and children.

Margherita Vicario says:

I wrote Magic over a year ago now. Publishing it now was on the agenda, I asked myself several times if it was right to do so and in the end I said yes because it is a song that has its own vitality and resistance.

However, it is a special episode because, unlike the previous episodes, I decided not to record a podcast. This is because although the song is full of ideas, I think it is not the time to investigate and chat in a more or less profound way about it.

It is a time of mourning and it should be a time of global and collective outrage.

For me, the pain caused by the images we are all witnesses adds to the anger and impotence in the face of television debates and the words of our politicians who insist on taking the side of the strongest when a bloodbath is taking place. of civilians trapped in an open-air prison.”

Coherent, with a unique style that has often led her to visually and musically narrate current issues driven by creative urgencies, Margherita Vicario breaks yet another narrative wall with SHOWTIME, to dissect and convey the chosen message in every way so that the music, the word, the choreography and the imagery all point to the same meaning, reinforcing it.
