The Smile reveal new details of their new album “Wall Of Eyes” (out January 26, 2024 on XL Recordings).
The band also shares the album’s title track, “Wall Of Eyes,” accompanied by a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
The new album, which was recorded between Oxford and Abbey Road Studios, is produced and mixed by collaborator Sam Petts-Davies and the string arrangements are by the London Contemporary Orchestra.
Wall Of Eyes, The Smile’s new album, is the follow-up to their 2022 debut A Light For Attracting Attentionwhich has received acclaim from magazines such as The Guardian, Pitchfork, The Observer, The Needle Drop, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, Uncut and MOJO, and more.
The Smile played a series of brilliantly received concerts across the US and Mexico in June and July this year, and released “Bending Hectic” from the new album in June, having played it for the first time at the 2022 Montreux Jazz Festival.
