Alternative rock at its finest and completely bilingual: 50% English, 50% Spanish.

Migrant Motel formed in the city of Boston by the Peruvian-American David Stewart and the Mexican Chava Ilizaliturrireleases a new single titled “Famous”. A song that talks about the natural superficiality when doing things for reasons that we consider incorrect and getting lost in toxic obsessions.

Also, the track It is a reflection and also self-criticism on the extreme fixation that exists in the musical/artistic world with having fame, which sometimes causes them to focus only on the goal or the result, instead of enjoying and appreciating the process or the path.

The idea for the song arose a few years ago, before the pandemic, after a talk I had with a fellow musician who also has his band. This colleague told me that he no longer enjoyed making music because his personal project was not taking off, even though he was doing well working as a composer and producer for other projects. “He was blinded by superficial desires that he did not achieve and that prevented him from seeing that he was already becoming a successful musician,” he comments. Chava in a press release.

So that “Famous” It is a call to attention towards the band itself and towards other artists, because when feeling these frustrations and not recognizing their work or even their lives, it is easy to fall into the simple desire for fame. For this reason and as mentioned Ilizaliturri: “It’s a somewhat raw and sour song but I think it’s a healthy and necessary reflection.”

We leave you the song so you can listen to it and add it to your playlist:
