The trial of A$AP Rocky accused of shooting A$AP Relli has begun

A$AP Rocky allegedly threatened to kill A$AP Relli during a shooting in 2021, in which Relli was injured.

A$AP Rocky was arrested in April 2022 when he landed in the United States with Rihanna returning from a trip to Barbados. He was released from prison on $550,000 bail.

On Wednesday (Nov. 8), Relli, whose real name is Terell Ephron, was called to testify about the 2021 shooting and detailed her relationship with A$AP Rocky and their alleged fight.

According to Relli, the tension between him and Rocky arose from the fact that Rocky promised to help the family of a deceased A$AP Mob member, but then failed to do so.

The two later arranged to meet at a Los Angeles hotel on November 6, 2021. According to Relli, A$AP Rocky arrived with multiple men and pointed a gun at his stomach and said, “I’m going to kill you.”

Relli testified that he was shot shortly thereafter and that Rocky shot him four times before fleeing.

Video footage of the alleged shooting was shown for the first time during Wednesday’s hearing and published by Rolling Stone. The clip shows a fight at a Los Angeles intersection, the group dispersing and one person running away.

Relli also sued A$AP Rocky and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for defamation, because they allegedly launched a media campaign against him and painted him as a liar.

Rocky was present in court during Relli’s testimony and has already pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

TMZ released some footage of Rocky signing autographs after Wednesday’s proceedings, and when asked by paparazzi how he felt, the rapper responded “good.”

This isn’t the first time A$AP Rocky has found himself in legal trouble. He spent time on Rikers Island as a teenager for allegedly shooting a rival drug dealer and was later jailed in Sweden for assault.
