Sharon Van Etten publishes “ Close to You », song co-written with Courtney Barnett for the Apple TV+ series « The Buccaneers “.

Sharon Van Etten has released a new single, “ Close to You ”, which appears on the soundtrack of the drama series The Buccaneers, coming to Apple TV+. This intimate and moving title was co-written by Van Etten and Courtney Barnett.

Close to You » joins a roster of all-female artists, including Lucius, Gracie Abrams and Miya Folick, for the soundtrack. The album was produced by Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa and will be released on November 8, the same day as the premiere of The Buccaneers.

It was an incredible experience working with this uniquely talented group of artistssaid Stella Mozgawa in a press release. Each one made their contribution and taught me something invaluable about the creative process. It was a joy to see these artists chart each character’s journey through song, and the album stands as an exciting companion to the series. »

Van Etten contributed to the series’ soundtrack with two songs, ” Close to You ” And ” Feel Good “. The album also features songs by Warpaint, Alison Mosshart, Bully, Emily Kokal and Sedona. The album is available for pre-order now.
