Iron Maiden will celebrate his 50th anniversary with a new documentary that should be released in theaters in the fall.
Iron Maiden celebrates his 50th anniversary in 2025, and to celebrate the event, a new documentary on the metal giants should be released in the course of the year.
Directed by Malcolm Venville, the film (whose title has not yet been revealed) will look at the 50th anniversary of Iron Maiden, telling the story from the group's point of view and fans, including the most famous like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Gene Simmons. The film will also include interviews with the members of the group, former or current, with the last interview of singer Paul Di'anno, who died last year.
In addition to all this, the documentary will present many rare archive images and new animated sequences featuring Eddie, Iron Maiden's mascot.
The group will celebrate its half-century of existence during its world tour Run for your lives, which will start in May and will end in August in Europe. The tour should then continue until 2026.
This tour will be the first of Iron Maiden without the drummer Nicko McBrain, who announced his withdrawal from the scene last year. McBrain has since been replaced by Simon Dawson, a session drummer who has also spent years playing with Steve Harris (the group's bass player) within the British Lion group.
