Thursday, Father John Misty was passing through Stephen Colbert's late show to present a new song entitled ” The Dead Mouse One ».

Rather than presenting a title of his new album Mahashmashanathe singer-songwriter opted for an exclusive interpretation of an acoustic ballad which speaks, as its name suggests, of a mouse that is dead.

Shortly after his performance, the singer, his real name Josh Tillman, revealed it was the death of a mouse (caused by ” A man with everything who was to be sprayed ), Then the burial of the creature, which finally inspired the unprecedented song.

Besides Mahashmashana (which was unfortunately overshadowed, once again, by a new album by Kendrick Lamar) Father John Misty recently celebrated Valentine's Day with a reissue of I love you, honeybear celebrating the 10th anniversary of the album. This new edition included its interpretation of ” Heart-Shaped Box From Nirvana.

The American folk artist will soon be on tour in Europe, notably with a visit to the Cigale de Paris on April 8 which already displays complete, before returning to America in July.
