Sarah, how do you live the relationship with social networks and the comments of the public?

Away. I don't want to make myself influenced by what I read on social networks, neither by the comments nor by the opinions that are often made only to hurt or create controversy. I share the idea that some comments have nothing constructive, they are only words thrown there to hurt. At the moment, I have not yet read anything about myself and, honestly, I don't care too much.

How did you feel on the Ariston stage?

I am happy because I felt comfortable. I was afraid of being overwhelmed by emotion, but I managed to manage it well, both during the performance and before. Of course, there is always room to improve, but I'm satisfied with how it went.

What inspired you for the first evening look?

We wanted to play with the image, recalling the world of tennis, since I was a professional tennis player. All this to show not only the artist, but also the person behind music. I wanted to bring a piece of myself to the stage, paying homage to what represents me. Even in the next looks there will be a story, a continuity, but I don't want to reveal too much.

What were your main musical influences?

I listened to a lot of Italian music growing, from great songwriters to pop artists. But when I started to discover music on my own, I approached the world of international pop stars such as Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. I love performances that become real performances, with spectacular choreography and scenography.

How important is the ranking for you?

Honestly, it's not my priority. I am here to make myself known by as many people as possible and to grow as an artist. Of course, it would be nice to get top, but my main goal is to transmit what I am through my music, without thinking too much about numbers.

How do you see your future after Sanremo?

For now, I am focused on this experience and I want to live it to the maximum. Afterwards, there will certainly be other challenges and new projects. I still have a lot to say and learn.

In the evening of the duets. You have chosen to collaborate with the Ofenbach, bringing “Overdrive”. How did this choice come about?

I wanted to maintain a common thread with “amarcord”, so I thought of a rhythmic piece, which would make dance and that had an international imprint. I love the world of international music. Ofenbach are perfect for this: I respect them a lot and I love their job. We have chosen “Overdrive” because it is an impactful song, which gives space to the voice and has a liberating energy, a bit like “amarcord”. In addition, we worked a lot to make the song unique, adapting it to me and adding some surprises that I don't want to reveal yet.

During the evening of the covers, scheduled for Friday 14 February 2025, Sarah will duet with the French duo of Ofenbach, known for the international success “Overdrive”, which has reached the gold certification in Italy with over 398.3 million streams on Spotify. The choice to collaborate with a duo that boasts more than 4.7 billion global streams is not accidental: it demonstrates the international ambition of Sarah Toscano, an artist who combines a fresh and engaging style with a voice capable of speaking directly to the heart of the public young.
