The Hotte interview with Jérémy Frerot: “I like watching ‘The Grinch’ at Christmas”

Music news

INTERVIEW – A few days before the holidays, Jérémy Frerot gave the WECB teams a helping hand. His challenge: to wrap a gift while sharing his most memorable Christmas memories.

Gift wrap, ribbon and glitter. WECB immerses you in the world of Christmas by inviting your favorite artists to answer our questions while making a gift package! After the challenge taken up by Pierre de Maere, it was Jérémy Frerot who took part in the game.

So what assessment does the singer make of his year 2024? What is his favorite Christmas movie? Which song will he set the dance floor on fire in the New Year? While wrapping a guitar, the singer of “Un Homme” tells us everything and shares, not without humor, his talents for gift wrapping.

“I’m really bad with gift wrap.”

Wrapping gifts for Christmas is no easy task for Jérémy Frerot! “I'm eco-friendly, I put them in bags“, tells us the singer, father of two little boys.

Anyone who had a busy 2024 said to themselves “quite proud to have gotten there“. After a musical break of two years, Jérémy Frerot returned in force with his new album “Gamin des sables”, released last September. Fourteen very personal tracks, including “Adieu”. In this poignant single, the The artist speaks openly about his breakup with Laure Manaudou.

During the Christmas period, Jérémy Frerot enjoys watching “The Grinch” with his children. “I like the delusion that it's a bitter character who becomes too nice!“, he exclaims, folding his wrapping paper. More unexpected: if there is one wish that Jérémy Frérot would like to see granted for the end of year celebrations, it is to go “eat at Santa's house“.”It must be so stylishhe imagines. I think there are candies as a starter and foie gras for dessert.

Find out if Jérémy Frerot took up the packaging challenge and don't miss out on discovering which gift the artist really doesn't hope to receive this year in our video.
