The Hotte interview with Pierre de Maere: “I would offer Dua Lipa a good restaurant for Christmas”

Music news

INTERVIEW – A few days before the holidays, Pierre de Maere came to lend a hand to the WECB teams. His challenge: to wrap a gift while sharing his most memorable Christmas memories.

Gift wrap, ribbon and glitter. WECB immerses you in the world of Christmas by inviting your favorite artists to answer our questions while making a gift package! After the challenge taken up by Helena, it was Pierre de Maere who took part in the game.

So, what is the singer's favorite ritual during the holidays? What assessment does he make of his year 2024? What gift could he give Dua Lipa? While wrapping a cup, the interpreter of “Doctor, one day I will marry an angel” confides and shares, not without humor, his talents for gift wrapping.

Pierre de Maere is “not comfortable” with gift wrap

Pierre de Maere is preparing to say goodbye to 2024, a “great year“during which he “hasgain more experience.” The Belgian artist, who has performed more than 100 concert dates, “looking forward to rest” but is also in a hurry “to return to the stage“.

These last few months have been even more full as Pierre de Maere had the chance to collaborate with Dua Lipa on a cover of the title “These Walls”. A duo which brought him closer to the British superstar. They thus discovered a common passion for cooking. The Belgian would therefore be offered to Dua Lipa “a good restaurant“, for Christmas.

And what gift does he hope to receive? “I tend to give better gifts than those given to me, I shower everyone, I am Pierre Noël all year round“, reveals Pierre de Maere with great humor before adding: “I'm a bit into art at the moment so paintings but they cost a fortune. And I saw a blanket but it costs 1500 euros, it's too expensive. If anyone wants to please me that would be That.”
