The 40-year-old singer has just announced, on Instagram, the release date of “Let your head always bloom”. “ Good news, says the singer. I can finally officially announce that my album Let your head always flower will be released on December 1st! “. A new album that promises surprises. One of them was revealed recently: this sixth opus will be sung entirely in French. A first for the artist. Fans have already been able to discover the first extract, “C’est la vie”, a single in tribute to his mother who died a little over two years ago. Beyond language, the British singer promises to talk about his intimate relationship with France.
Unexpected collaborations
To bring this album to fruition, Mika surrounded himself with singer Carla de Coignac but also with producers/hitmakers Renaud Rebillaud (MaĂ®tre Gims, Kendji Girac) and Tristan Salvati (Angèle). But that’s not all ! It will also contain a collaboration with a famous French actress: ValĂ©rie Lemercier.
This is not the first time that he has invited a French actress into one of his projects. In 2011, he called on Fanny Ardant for his music video “Elle me dit”, one of his rare French-speaking hits.
To defend this opus, Mika will be on tour in 2024 in “ 16 cities in France, as well as in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and for the first time in a long time… in Germany “. He has since added dates in the UK and Ireland.
