Balloonerism, Mac Miller's new posthumous album, will be released on January 17th

The Mac Miller Estate has announced the release of the album 'Balloonerism', the album recorded in 2014, which will be released on January 17th.

In addition to the album's formal announcement, Estate shared the trailer for the album's companion film, directed by Samuel Mason.

Speaking about the publication, Mac Miller's family comments:
“many Malcolm fans are aware of Balloonerism, a full album that Malcolm has
created around the time Faces came out in 2014. This is a project that was great
importance to Malcolm, to the point of commissioning the artwork and it was regularly discussed
when it should have been released, although eventually GO:OD AM and subsequent albums
they ended up taking precedence.

We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and his courage
as an artist. Given that unofficial versions of the album have been circulating online for years and that
releasing 'Balloonerism' was something that Malcolm often expressed as important to him, we felt it was more appropriate to present an official version of the project to the whole world.
With that in mind, we're excited to announce that Balloonerism releases on January 17, 2025
”.

The album comes from the same creative period in which Mac was working on Watching Movies with the Sound Off, Delusional Thomas, Faces and others, and represents creative ambition with a genre-agnostic approach.

Balloonerism will be available digitally and in several physical formats including CD, cassette and vinyl.
The vinyl will be available as a two-LP version in two exclusive variants (Amazon green
emerald and white Indie) + some versions available only on balloonerism.com:
a deluxe edition, made only once, in a limited edition, which features a box set
wrapped in rainbow foil with white splash cloud vinyl and a full color booklet
of 32 pages with photos and texts, as well as a limited print.
