Blue Ivy follows in the footsteps of her mother Beyoncé. Despite not even being 13 years old, the girl has shown to have enormous talent when it comes to going on stage. We already saw it in the Renaissance World Tourwhen Blue became one of her mother's dancers, starring in her own dance break (luckily it didn't coincide with school, and part of the tour was in the summer). Furthermore, we have also been able to see these artistic gifts in the interpretation. At least when it comes to giving voice to one of the characters in Mufasa: the latest Disney film about the characters of The Lion King.
Now, A year later, Blue Ivy has returned to the stage with her mother. He has done it in the performance that Beyoncé has starred in for the NFL: a Christmas special called Cowboy Carter that aired during halftime of the game between the Texans and the Ravens.
The performance, which was once again a display of musicians, dancers and surprises, had Blue Ivy as one of the protagonists. And it's no coincidence!

Blue Ivy, her mother's projection on stage
Beyoncé has had her eldest daughter as an alter ego on stage. To begin with, Queen B already greets her little girl with the legendary audio of Charlie's Angels: something that all his fans associate with that stage with Destiny Child. At this moment, the artist is already giving her offspring star status. And she knows that all the cameras are going to be focused on her.
But the thing doesn't stop there. During the performance of Ya Ya, Blue literally becomes her mother's shadow: a projection, not only symbolic, of everything the artist does on stage. Beyoncé appears in the center, surrounded by hundreds of dancers, and with only one person above her: her daughter.
Blue is in charge of imitating her mother's every movement, from a platform and being the only person, besides Beyoncé, that the viewer visualizes.
The other great moment of We see Blue Ivy when she appears during the theme. Texas Hold'Em. Blue appears to the left of her mother. And she's the only one who goes around with her. He approaches and humanizes the diva, who has practically become a pop divinity. Additionally, throughout the show, Blue wears, like the rest of the dancers, the “Cowboy Carter” band. Not Beyoncé. Which makes us think that it is Blue who takes her because of her mother.
The Importance of Blue Ivy
It should be remembered that Cowboy Carter has been a very special album for Beyoncé. The artist wanted to release a country album to pay tribute to the sound she grew up with in her native Texas. Of course, it has not been an easy road, and the most conservative sectors of the country genre turned their backs on the American star. And the singer appeared performing at the 50th edition of the Country Music Association Awards in Nashvile in 2016 singing Daddy Lessons, a Lemonade song in which he experimented with country, and the most purists of the genre saw it with bad eyes. In fact, according to sources who spoke to Vulture, “her appearance also upset traditionalists, sparking a heated debate about whether 'she is country or not' and giving rise to blatant displays of racism.”
Now, eight years later, with the most listened to country album of the year, Beyoncé has not only starred in a show in the NFL singing 15 minutes of country, but all the people she has counted on (musicians and dancers) are African-American. Furthermore, the fact that his daughter Blue has a leading role on stage is no coincidence: Beyoncé sends a clear message, the generations to come will grow up with fewer prejudices and impediments when it comes to doing what they want. Because country is for everyone.
