Pierre Garnier: are his titles autobiographical? He responds

Music news

INTERVIEW – Pierre Garnier has just released a new single “Adieu, nous deux”. A song about a romantic breakup. Does the song have a link to his experience? He tells us all about his inspirations for WECB.

Only a year after making himself known, Pierre Garnier is already offering a reissue. The singer released a new version of his first album “Chaque Seconde”, with four unreleased tracks. Among these new releases, the single “Adieu, nous deux” came to question many fans.

Pierre Garnier interprets, in fact, the end of a romantic relationship. Does he draw inspiration from his life to create his pieces?

“There's a lot of 'real me' but for most of the songs I take a little bit of a feeling I have, reveals Pierre Garnier at the microphone of WECB. For example, for 'Adieu, nous deux', it's something I've already felt even if it didn't end like in the song with a separation. But I have already felt the pressure from my family, from my friends in relation to a person I was seeing and whom they did not think well of. Often it is an experience that is told a little to make a nice story.

Pierre Garnier: “I’m very nostalgic”

Pierre Garnier, rather modest, ultimately confides a lot in his songs. He reveals to us the reasons which push him to speak of feelings in music. “Basically I am very nostalgic as soon as I do something. At the moment I don't necessarily enjoy it but as soon as it's over I think about it a lot. I think maybe that's why I write songs that are often about breakups or things that have happened.”he concludes.
