The Japanese experimental pop artist, Ichiko Aoba, presents “Flag”the captivating preview of their next album. This delicate, acoustic, cinematic ballad captures the immensity of looking out over the ocean. With his voice and guitar as his only allies, Ichiko reflects on life while singing: “Is it true that we are reborn so many times over?”encapsulating the purity and profound simplicity that the sea inspires before your eyes.

Captivated by the infinite beauty of the ocean and its flashes of haunting mystery, “Flag” It evokes the ancient and majestic immensity of the sea. In his verses, he reflects the adverse conditions that gave rise to life while suggesting the invaluable presence of the creatures that once inhabited it. This lyric is complemented by a dazzling live performance, recorded at dusk during the Dutch festival Into The Great Wide Open.

With an irresistible attraction towards the ocean, Ichiko He faces its immensity with a single breath, aware of his fragility in the face of its power.
