Disappearance of Liam Payne: One Direction reunited for a final farewell

An intimate ceremony took place this Wednesday in the south of England for the burial of Liam Payne. A moving funeral attended by Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

Family, friends and artists gathered for a final tribute to Liam Payne this Wednesday in Amersham, west London. Present at the singer's funeral were his four friends and colleagues from the boyband One Direction.

Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson made the trip on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20 for this very moving ceremony which was held in small groups. Producer Simon Cowell, who created the hit group through the show X Factorin 2010, was also seen alongside the late singer's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and his ex-partner Cheryl.

The group in mourning

Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo, Argentina, on October 16. He was only 31 years old.

A few days after his tragic disappearance, his One Direction partners shared a message on the group's Instagram account. Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles then declared that they were “devastated” in a joint post. “The memories we shared with him will always be precious“, the singers wrote.
