The Weeknd announces the date of his new album, 'Hurry Up Tomorrow'

Music news

After sharing three previews, the singer reveals the official release date.

The multidisciplinary Canadian-Ethiopian singer, The Weekndfinally announced the details of his sixth studio album Hurry Up Tomorrow. The official release date of this “final chapter of his trilogy” is next January 24 through XO and Republic Records.

This trilogy is made up of the albums After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022) and will soon join Hurry Up Tomorrow. After Hours was a record released when all the dance floors were closed, an attempt to bridge the gap between a downcast persona and retro funk, flirting with both impulses without committing to either.

In Dawn FM, released without much fanfare, The Weeknd has gone all-in on a biblical fantasy, fusing chills and fear with euphoric disco and 80s R&B with life-or-death stakes.

Although we still do not know the tracklist of the disk, Abel already shared three singles, where two of them are collaborations. “Dancing in the Flames”, “Timeless” with Playboy Carti and ““Sao Paulo” with Anitta, are the tracks that take us into this new facet of the singer.

We're probably in for the poetic end of his career, considering the way he started it more than a decade ago. Don't miss any details because we expect more singles and details; remember that the artwork nor the tracklist complete of Hurry Up Tomorrow.
