Helena goes from “Summer Body” to “Bad Boy”

Music news

The former Star Academy candidate announces the release of her highly anticipated fourth single, “Mauvais Garçon”. With this title, the young artist seems to be embarking on a new musical shift.

After the success of “Summer Body”, Helena, semi-finalist of the Star Academy 2023, is preparing the release of her fourth single, “Mauvais Garçon”. On her Instagram account, followed by more than 756,000 subscribers, the Belgian singer revealed a tempting teaser. Filmed from behind in a red, nocturnal light, she appears dressed in a leather perfecto, sticking up a poster which announces: “Looking for a nice boy with a reward.” A staging which suggests a more rock universe for the 22-year-old artist.

Helena points out the red flags in love

“We learned to accept our bodies this summer, we will learn the laws of love this winter”promises Helena. In her Instagram channel, which brings together 128.2K fans, the singer who was nominated this year for the WECB Music Awards, also shared a 10-second extract of her title. To a melody punctuated by bass, she sings direct words: “Bad boy puts me down, tells me that I’m not beautiful like that, that I’m useless…”

This track, already available in presave, seems to address the toxic behaviors that certain young boys can adopt in romantic relationships. “Bad Boy” will be released on November 20. In the meantime, fans can now reserve their tickets for the star's tour: HERE.
