Codacons does not want artists with violent, sexist or misogynistic lyrics in Sanremo
The Sanremo Festival has not yet started and the competing singers have not even been announced, which Codacons is already putting its hands forward by filing a warning against RAI and Carlo Conti.
Codacons in fact announces that it will take legal action if there are “artists with violent, sexist or misogynistic lyrics” in the Festival cast.
Since there has been talk in recent days of Tony Effe's possible participation in Sanremo, Codacons explicitly says that Tony Effe is among the singers with violent, sexist and misogynistic lyrics.
“In the next few days the cast of singers competing at the next Festival will be announced and names of possible participants are already circulating, including rappers like Tony Effe, who in the past have stood out for songs with highly sexist lyrics and for phrases that denigrate and offend women and incite young people to violence. We are ready to present a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office for the possible case of induction of violence against women, and we will ask for the singers to be removed from the Ligurian city in analogy to the provisions of art. 282 bis of the Code of Criminal Procedure”.
