'Interstella 5555' by Daft Punk will arrive at Cinépolis

The iconic French duo revives their anime visual album.

The beloved movie Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystemthe iconic work of daft punkreturns to movie screens for a special screening in 2024. The classic anime visual album, directed by Leiji Matsumoto in collaboration with daft punk and Toei Animationwill be available in selected Cinépolis theaters on December 12 and 13, 2024. Tickets are now available for pre-sale starting today, November 13, with a cost of $110.00 MXN per ticket.

The sci-fi story combining electronic music and animation follows an alien band kidnapped by a human villain, as his music takes them on a stunning visual journey. This project, which accompanies the album discoverywill be screened exclusively in more than 800 cinemas in 40 countries, making it a unique opportunity for fans of the French duo.

Screenings will be limited, so it's important to secure your tickets in advance, as the film will only be showing during these two days.

In addition to the film screening, daft punk will release a limited edition of Discovery: Interstella 5555 Edition on December 13, 2024, which will include vinyl and numbered CDs, along with merchandising exclusive to the characters in the movie. This special edition is an excellent opportunity for collectors who want to keep alive the nostalgia of one of the most iconic collaborations in the history of music and animated film.
