Tobe Nwigwe arrives in Italy in 2025 with his Home is Where the Hood Is tour, for a single date on Friday 24 January at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan.

It will be an opportunity for the Italian public to witness one of his extraordinary live performances, with a repertoire that includes songs from his latest album Hood Hymns, released on August 30, 2024.

Visionary and multifaceted artist, who is creating his worlds in music, fashion, cinema and beyond. The autobiographical lyrics and tone of his music tell the story of a difficult upbringing as a first-generation Nigerian boy in the Alief neighborhood of Houston, TX. The authenticity of his work is palpable. The same songs that describe the harsh realities of his upbringing also speak to the power of his beliefs and the importance of having a purpose. Overcoming these realities, Tobe emerged with an overarching goal in life: “to popularize his purpose,” and he succeeded very well.

His work has garnered widespread acclaim and a number of notable co-signs, including First Lady Michelle Obama, who placed his song “I'm Dope” on her coveted workout playlist; fellow hometown icon Beyoncé, who featured Tobe prominently on billboards, commercials and store ads nationwide for her Adidas x IVY PARK Rodeo campaign; and Pharrell Williams, who tapped Tobe to lead Moncler's global campaigns, including curating, creative directing and performing for Moncler's Genius Show at Milan Fashion Week 2023.

Tobe continues to build his odds-defying resume of what a completely independent artist can accomplish, including a Best New Artist nomination at the 2023 GRAMMYs, a supporting role in the blockbuster film: Transformers Rise Of The Beasts, multi-year partnership with Reebok to launch footwear and apparel collections, standout performances at the Coachella Music Festival, three-time NAACP Image Awards win, lead voiceover in the Beats By Dre “You Love Me” campaign which earned him a Emmy nomination for best commercial, reaching position no. 4 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart with the viral song “Try Jesus” and NPR's Top Tiny Desk Performance, among many other monumental moments.

Tobe's greatest accomplishment has been building everything he has to date with his wife, Fat, and his family of five children, currently all under the age of five: Ivory, Sage, Chu Chu, Chiko and Jah Jah. Tobe's art is literally inseparable from his family, appearing with him in nearly every song, music video and public appearance.

Having collaborated with heavyweight artists such as Justin Timberlake, Nas, Pharrell, Black Thought, Erykah Badu and 2 Chainz, Tobe's latest musical project, Hood Hymns, released on August 30, 2024, has been diligently curated with prominent features including including Fantasia, Jay Electronica, Chance The Rapper, Anthony Hamilton, Andra Day and many others.

Hood Hymns was Tobe's most ambitious and important work to date. It is his prayer for people who grew up like him and a true culmination of his purpose wrapped up in one project.
