Nilüfer Yanya, British singer-songwriter, has announced the release of a new EP by remixes based on their third album, My Method Actorreleased on September 13 via Ninja Tune. The EP will be available on November 22 and will include reinterpretations of notable songs from the album such as “Mutations”, “Call It Love” and two versions of “Like I Say (I Runaway)”.

The remixes They are something beautiful. I find it an interesting challenge to listen to the song in a different way, at first I feel totally confused, but then I sink into it and think: 'wowI could never have imagined it this way.' Hearing something new created from your own music by an artist you admire is also very special and I feel like it opens your mind a little bit about how you can treat your own material if you want. As an artist who is not a producer, it is also very fun to take a look at these alternative universes,” the artist explained in a press release.

The surprise does not end there, since the first preview arrives with a remix of “Just A Western” by the electronic group underground, Boy Harsherwhich adds simplicity to the song, in the style of the 80s, mixing a subtle sound with the intimate tone of voice of Yanya.

The EP will also feature remixes of artists like Empress Of, MorMor x Lesser and Jam Cityexpanding the sonic boundaries of the already versatile album. My Method Actor received praise from media such as The New York Times, Pitchfork and The FADER and with these new remixes promises to further explore the emotional nuances and personality that have defined the career of Nilufer.

Yanya continues to explore life's fundamental questions, but through new sounds and collaborations that reflect its constant musical evolution. We await the release of the full EP with great expectations.
